There is a lot to like about this flashlight, it's extremely bright, very sturdy and has a good weight and size to it. The little screen that shows the battery percentage is both a blessing and a curse. It's extremely useful to see the status of the battery BUT it also adds a level of paranoia and I find myself checking it over and over. On the brightest mode, I've observed the battery drain at about 1% every 60 seconds, sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter. You should definitely use this mode sparingly. The reason for not giving it a full 5 stars is due the faster rate of drain for the high beam mode and because of the extra battery adapter, where you can put AAA batteries into the adapter to use in the flashlight as a backup, just doesn't work for me. I've tried various different AAA batteries and brands and none of them seem to work at all. Ultimately though, I do think this is good value for money and I do recommend it!

Quality in build and design. So bright it made me laugh. The spotlight focus in particular. Ridiculous in its reach and intensity, so impressed. The rub is, in its highest setting, the battery runs down very quickly indeed. The charge counter clicks down at an unnerving speed. I don't care. I just ordered another one as a spare for when it runs down. I also got a Shadowhawk as well, for close to the same price. In comparison, a higher rated, and seemingly more respected product. (Probably better battery life too, lol). However, I don't care. The Jayxinil is more powerful, with a great battery gauge and an appealing overall design and feel. The Shadowhawk is smaller and comes with a hard case and spare batteries, this does not. Don't care. It's just not as cool as this. Outstanding.

Bought this as a general purpose torch and for dog walking on winter evenings. As said in other reviews it is not as bright as you might expect from the advert, but it is still pretty bright. Nice quality housing in black aluminium and good quality feel to all parts. Comes with rechargeable battery that has a very good life and a 3xAAA pack. Beam is changed from flood to spot by pulling out the end and works well. On spot setting the beam has a very long range - 100 plus yds. Various settings like full brightness half and strobe effect plus a side light for reading etc. All in all a very good product at a reasonable price. Recommended.

*******May I suggest to those of you that find this torch flickers and goes on and off make sure the middle thread on the torch is done up tight, ( there is a thread half way down the shaft which allows you to get to the top section )******* Arrived next day and was well packed, comes in its own nice hard plastic case with a carry strap, the torch itself appears to be very well made and is much better quality than I expected I was expecting something very flimsy, the size also surprised me I don't know why but I thought it would be much bigger even though dimensions are stated :) the torch is very bright but not as bright as I expected and not sure why there is a cross hair in the beam when its on max range setting, it also has a nice wrist strap to make sure you don't drop it, charging this torch is very easy but I suspect its best charged over night as it appears to take a long time to get max charge, it can also be used while its charging , would I recommend this yes I would and it would make a lovely present
